One week from tomorrow I will be getting on a plane and traveling to Guanajuato, Mexico to spend 4 weeks at the don Quijote language school.
At this point I do not speak Spanish. However according to the language program "Spanish for Gringos" I am supposed to say "si, hablo un pequito", but really, no hablo espanol. I am going to Guanajuato in the hopes of magically, after only 4 weeks being able to carry on a basic conversation in Spanish. At this point I am getting really excited about this opportunity, but am also very sad to leave my sweet husband. He has been so awesome and encouraging to me. To get me ready for Mexico he threw me a surprise party complete with a piñata and mariachi music. Here are some pictures from the event.
