Mi Escuela
I have not spoken much about my school so far, so I wanted to let you know a little more about the don Quijote language school in Guanajuato.
My school is actually quite nice! It has a computer lab, a general meeting room with a TV, an outdoor terrace and a cafeteria/restaurant. There are probably around 50 to 60 students at the school currently, so it is not super big. When you arrive at the school you go inside two beautiful enormous oak doors. You then find yourself in a very colorful entry way that leads to the first and second floors of the school. The stairwell to the second floor is very wide and is decorated with colorful hand painted tiles.
There are several classrooms in the school. Most of the classrooms have a window in the interior that looks into the major hallway. There is a lot of natural light in the school, so with all the colored tiles and Mexican decorations it is an extremely cheerful place to study Spanish.
I have two classes daily. One class begins at 9:00 and ends at 10:45, and then the other one starts at 11:15 and goes until 1:00. In between classes we have a 30 minute break. Everyday during the break I go to the tienda that is next door to the school and buy Sobritas (Lays Regular Potato Chips) and a coke in a glass bottle. The owner of the tienda is named Humberto and he said that he has a friend who lives in Jefferson County. He is one of the sweetest people! I will take some more pictures of things in the school...it is definitely a sight to see!
Muchos Abrazos,
Katie

Hey girl,
I just wanted you to know today is one of those days that I wish we lived in the same city. AND, that I'm so glad that you have this opportunity and are learning and improving and growing as a teacher and a person. Brian is awesome to be so supportive and you, as always, are amazing.
Praying for you,
Kim
